Ernie is the President and CEO of DiMartino Ice Company.  His father, Art, founded the company in 1968.  Ernie has been involved in the ice carving business since 1988.  Ernie continues to be an inspiration to the many apprentices that he helps learn the trade.  

Ernie was elected to the National Ice Carving Association (NICA) Board of Directors from 1996-1999.  He was also the Judging Chairman from 1998-2002.  He helped set in place the judging guideline that are still used today to evaluate ice carvings across the USA.  He is a NICA certified Lead Judge, he has judged numerous NICA competitions since 1989.  These events included the 1992, 1997 and 1998 Lead Judge) NICA Championships and the 1994 and 1996 NICA Collegiate Championships

Ernie has performed in, and won, many international and national competitions over the years.
